Objective of BNS Program:

The objective of BNS program is to prepare competent graduate nurses who can work independently as a member of health team to provide preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative care, to teach in the different health institutions and conduct leadership role in various health care settings as well as in research activies.

1st Year

  • Applied
  • Computer Technology

2nd Year

  • Adult Nursing
  • Community Health Nursing
  • Psychiatric Nursing
  • Geriatric Nursing
  • Nursing Concept & Principle

3rd Year

  • Leadership & Management
  • Nursing Research & Statistics
  • Educational Science
  • Elective Subjects – any one of the following
    • Midwifery Child Health Nursing
    • ICU/CCU
    • Oncology
    • O.T.
    • Nephrology Nursing

4th Year

  • 6 months Clinical experience on related elective subjects
  • during 4th year of this program

Internship

Students are required to do internship upon the successful completion of their training; render their services to the institution for a stipulated period of time.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for selection to the B N S course, a candidate should have successfully completed 3 years certificate level of nursing from a recognized institution and should have secured an aggregate of 50% or more marks.

Should have minimum of two years work experience after successful completion of the certificate nursing course.

Physically and mentally fit.

SELECTION

The applicant must submit,

  • A complete application form along with the photocopies.
  • Documents of certificate level in nursing (mark sheets, character certificate and degree).
  • Nepal Nursing Council registration certificate,
  • Citizenship certificate.
  • Kathmandu University Entrance Examination is compulsory.
  • Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit list and interview by the college
